“Engaged 1/3/25. ❤️💍♾️,” Burton, 54, wrote via Instagram on Saturday, January 4, alongside a slideshow of sweet photos of the couple from their engagement. One shot captured the moment when Burton got down on one knee and popped the question.
Burton’s caption continued, “Jeremiah 29:11. ‘Because I know the plans I have for you,’ says the Lord, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.'”

Burton was previously married Sheree Gustin between 1999 and 2022, with whom he shares three children: daughters Makena and Brooklyn and their son Jack.
Burton’s last marriage hit the headlines in May 2022 when it was revealed that he and Gustin, 46, had split after 23 years of marriage, and that she was expecting a baby with another man. (The pair had legally separated in March of that year.)
“I wanted to clear something up. Sheree and I are separated. She recently announced that she is expecting her 4th child. The child is not mine,” the General Hospital wrote an online star at the time. “We are still parents to our three beautiful children. We would appreciate privacy at this time. Good luck, Steve.”

Gustin went on to welcome her fourth child, daughter Izabella, in February 2023 and the father’s identity has been kept private. (She gave birth to baby No. 5, Addy’s daughterin February 2024.)
As for Burton, the soap opera star confirmed his relationship with Lundstrom to the Daily Drama in May 2024, but it was not until the following months that the pair made their first red carpet at the Daytime Emmy Awards last June.
“Our first red carpet together. It was a dream of a night from start to finish,” Lundstrom wrote via Instagram in June, as she beat the night out with her partner. “Thank you for all the lovely, kind comments and messages. I am truly grateful ❤️🙏🏼.”
At the time, there was Burton’s General Hospital costar Kirsten storms she wrote in the comments, “You’re so cute together, it’s almost hard to look at this picture. 🥰 ❤️.”
