Garrison Brown’s Death Wives: Kody and Janelle talk out

Sister wives star Kody brown and Janelle brown They are no longer married but after the death of their son GearThey have been united in their grief.

“Janelle and I are very sad to announce the loss of our beautiful boy Robert Garrison Brown,” Kody wrote in Joint Instagram statement With Janelle in March 2024. “It was a bright place in the lives of all who knew him. The former couple’s statement came shortly after Weekly US confirm Garrison died by suicide at the age of 25 (Kody and Janelle, split in 2022, Share six children including garrison.)

Since Garrison’s passing, Janelle has been vocal on social media for his troubles and disadvantages with grief. Kody, meanwhile, expressed his heartbreak on several episodes of Sister wivesSeason 19 of them documenting the family’s initial responses and ultimately buried garrison.

Comes out of the fog

“It has been difficult to get my brain to work properly again,” explained Janelle by Instagram In March 2024, sharing pictures of the Garrison life celebration. “I am so grateful for the fact that love and support I have received in the past three weeks. The support has been overwhelming. I am honored.”

Heavenly Birthday

Mother’s Day Memories

Janelle revealed In May 2024 that she “felt the grief so close to the face” when celebrating the first Mother’s Day without a garrison. “It was particularly poignant when I made this simple pie,” he wrote through social media. “Our strawberry picking excursion along with the fact that I had found a random rhubarb at the local farmers market made him feel that this pie was supposed to be.”

Janelle continued: “Maybe no one loved more than Garrison. And that made this pie a little bitter. I love you honey and miss you every day.”

Last conversation

During the one May 2025 Sister wives Chapter, Janelle remembered the hours before Garrison died. She remembered texting and talking to him throughout the day and when he stopped at about 8pm, Janelle asked his brothers to look at him and then went to bed.

Woke up to a call from her son Brown gabriel telling her that a garrison has died. “I don’t know what happened that night did that because he had other nights like this where he would drink and then pass out and would become a kind of radio quietly, but he would be back in the morning,” explained Janelle. “I don’t know what happened this time.”

Later, Janelle told his sister Charrie That garrison had “anxiety and depression and then began to drink as a way to relieve that” during the coronavirus pandemic. “And then just became an animal he couldn’t get hold of it. We did everything we could. And I know that,” he concluded.

Brotherly love

Janelle remembered during a May 2025 Chapter of Sister wives That garrison was “greatly involved with the young children.” She was very dear to have been “very considerate” from Kody and Christine BrownYoungest girl, indeed.

“Robyn would note that he would come over every day to see Sol and Ari,” Janelle explained in Chapter May 11, referring to Kody and two children of his fourth wife, Solomon and Ariella. Gushed Janelle, “He was always very involved with his younger siblings.”

Overcome by anxiety

During the same TLC chapter May 2025, Kody detailed his desire to Take Garrison ash and bury them in the state of his ancestors Wyoming as a kind of “pilgrimage.”

“Sometimes out of the blue, out of the blue, it will overcome me. Almost, like, some kind of anxiety attack,” Kody said of the process. “Just a deep, overwhelming feeling I will never see it again. There is so much left unpaid, so much left without undone.”

He noted, in order to mourn, that he intends to bury Garrison “next to his grandmother and father -cu and, you know, just a kind of… finishing the circle.” Kody ripped up, saying, “I was the first one he caught. This is my son. I rocked him to sleep. This is part of my mourning process.”

Digging the grave

“I spoke to Sexton the cemetery and he is the one that would normally dig the graves,” Kody explained in a separate May 2025 Chapter of Sister wives. “And I asked him permission if I could dig him. It means something to me. I don’t know why.”

Kody went on to dig Garrison’s grave in “Old West Country Cemetery” in Wyoming, calling it, “One of the most important things I’ve ever done.” He revealed, “This is the last ode to my boy.… This is my duty, my job.”
