Director National Intelligence (DNI) Tulsi gabbard announced the release of the first batch of Robert F. Kennedy’s murder files on Friday after teasing the news earlier this month.
“Almost 60 years after the tragic attempt of Senator Robert F. Kennedy, the American people will be able to review the Federal Government’s investigation through President Trump’s leadership for the first time,” Gabard said in a statement published. “My team is honored that the president instructed us to manage the cutting efforts and cover the truth for a long time. I express a deep gratitude for Bobby Kennedy and the support of his families.”
Health and Human Services Secretary (HHS) Robert F. Kennedy -Youth said in the same statement that the release of files was “a necessary step to restore confidence in American government.“
“I welcome President Trump for courage and commitment to transparency. I am also grateful to Tols Gabard for her noble efforts to eradicate and declassify these documents,” he continued.
Similarly the White House press -secretary Carolyn Levit Reacted to the release of files on X on Friday morning, writing: “RFK files were released. Promises are made. Promises are saved.”

During the morning on Fox and Friends, Gabard said that 10,000 pages were released – none of which had previously been digitized or publicly visible. Gabard said the files included documents concerning the investigation of the attempt and “questions and theories”, as well as the investigation, as well as the State Department and Understanding Talks.

RFK Files release occurs as a result of Trump’s executive order, issued shortly after it started its second term. The order specifically seeks to scatter the files about the killing of former President John F. Kennedy, his brother Robert and King’s Civil Rights.

According to the order, the director of national intelligence and other officials are expected to submit the proposed issues of RFK and MLK file issues on March 9.
