According to US media, the scheduled dates and location of Fyre Festival 2 were doubted.
Restart Festival Fyre 2017 – which made international headlines, caused the hit -recruiting film Netflix and led the organizer Billy Macfarland went to jail for fraud – it was supposed to take place in Mexico from May 30 to June 2.

The uncertainty stems from two local authorities in Mexico, saying that they have no planned records for the festival, which, according to the organizers, will take place in their areas.
In February, the organizers announced the location of the festival as Islands Mujarez, an island in Cancun.
However, on Facebook, the local City Council posted that “no person or the company asked for permits in this position or any other municipal government department for the said event.”
The event was again announced with a new place in Playa Del Carmen. On x there, local officials said that “no event with this name reached our city.”
“After responsible consideration of the situation, he confirms that there is no registration, planning and conditions that indicate the implementation of the event in the municipality,” the statement reads.
McFarland and Fyre Festival 2 posted the documents on Instagram, which, according to them, showed approval for the event. One document shows a permission for 250 people at the venue. Macfarland said 1800 tickets were sold.
For many, the latest developments will be a surprise.
The original fyre was promoted by supermodels and celebrities as an exclusive vacation for a heavy -duty, and the place was broken as a private island that once belonged to Pablo Escobar’s drug.
But visitors of the festival arrived in the Bahamas to find all the talents canceled, naked mattresses that can be sleeping in tents, destroyed thunderstorms and sandwiches in containers to eat.
Macfarland was sentenced in 2018 to six years of imprisonment with wire fraud and was also ordered to return $ 29 million to investors.
