Joe Root equals the record of most of more than 50 scores in the fourth tests
Root added another remarkable milestone to his name with his hundreds of hundreds. It was the 13th time he scored fifty or more in the fourth entry of a test game.
The right hand batter joined an elite list that includes Graeme Smith (41 tickets), Chris Gayle (43 entrances) and Shivnarine Chanderpaul (49 tickets), all of which also reached the 50 -year mark 13 times in the fourth post.
Root got the feat in 53 appearances in the fourth part. It passed in front of the great Sunil Gavaskar Indi, who had 12 such scores. This milestone again revealed the consistency and composition of root in situations of pressure during the persecutions.
Joe Root moves to the fourth list of test test of all time
Root marked his 39th century on the test cricket. He surpassed Kumar Sangakkara to get fourth place in the list of all times of most hundreds of tests, behind Sachin Tendulkar (51), Jacques Kallis (45) and Ricky Ponting (41).
It was also the 24th root test on home ground, making it the player with more centuries in his own country. It passed in front of Mahela Jayawardene, Jacques Kallis and Ricky Ponting, which each had 23 tons at home.
This was the thirteenth century of Root against India, placing it in the second set for most hundreds against a single opponent in the history of the evidence. Sunil Gavaskar also scored 13 centuries against the West Indies, while Don Bradman runs the list with 19 tons against England.
