A French scientist who created an abortion tablet died at the age of 98.

Etien-Emil Baulio has helped develop oral drug RU-486, also known as a mythoston, which provided millions of women worldwide a safe and inexpensive alternative to surgical abortion.

Dr. Bouulie died at his home in Paris on Friday, confirmed his widow in a statement.

Simon Harara Bolie said: “His research was guided by the prevailing through science, devotion to women and the desire to enable everyone to live better and longer.”

French President Emmanuel Macron called Dr. Boliya “The Lighthouse of Courage” and “a progressive mind that allowed women to win their freedom.”

“Few French people have changed the world to such an extent,” he added in the report on X.

Auror Berger, Minister of Gender Equality of France, said Dr. Bouulia “was guided throughout his life on one demand: human dignity” as X.

D -Ra Boulia was born Etien Bloom on December 12, 1926 in Strasbourg. He changed his name to join the French resistance against Nazi occupation when he was 15.

After graduating from his studies, he went to the United States, where he worked with a man known as a parent of contraceptive pill, D -R Gregory Pinkus. D -Pinkus advised him to focus on the sex hormones.

Returning to France, D -R Bouulia developed a method to block the effect of progesterone hormone – which is important for implantation of the egg into the uterus after fertilization.

While the abortion tablet has been developed for 10 years, D -R Baulio spent decades, pushing international governments to drug resolution, despite fierce criticism and sometimes threats from abortion opponents.

The World Health Organization (WHO) added it to its list of medicines only in 2010.

Introducing him by the Great Cross Legion D’Anner in 2023, Macron said: “You, Jew and a member of the resistance, were caused by the most violent icons and compared with Nazi scientists.

“But you kept firm, out of love for freedom and science.”

After Wyoming became the first US staff to ban an abortion tablet in 2023, D -Bolie noted that he spent most of his life, trying to increase the “Freedom of Women” by adding such bans in the wrong direction.

His recent study included an attempt to find a way to prevent the development of Alzheimer’s disease, as well as treatment of severe depression.
