Several prisons were injured in France during the night during the night, the Justice Minister said.
Geld Darmanin said the prison had faced “attempts to intimidate”, ranging from burning a vehicle to automatic weapons.
La Parisien reports that the vehicles were set on fire in several prison parking, while a prison in the Toulon was aimed at shots with automatic weapons.
The newspapers list six institutions that will be aimed at: in the Toulon, AIX-EN-PROVENCE and MArseille, Valence and Nîmes, Luynes, Villepinte and Nanterre.
A report on X Darmanin said he was going to Toulon to offer his support to the victims.
Without attributing guilt for the attacks, he stated that the French government “faced the problem of drug trafficking” and take measures that “deeply violate” criminal networks.
The Union of Prison Protection, FO Justice, expressed its “deep concern and anger”, performing “extremely serious” attacks for the night.
The union posted updates after several attacks on X, including images of holes from the bullet in the prison windows of the Toul and burnt cars in other prison parking.
He called for urgent actions of the government to protect prison officers.
