Former Philippine President Rodrigo Duterter was arrested at Manila Akin International Airport on Tuesday after the order of the International Criminal Court (MKC), which investigates the crime against the case of humanity filed against the former leader.
The 79th Duterte was taken into custody at the Philippines after a trip to Hong Kong, the Associated Press reports.
The ICC conducted an investigation into “massacres that took place under the death of the former president against illegal drugs,” said the AP through the office of President Ferdinand Marcos.
