The body of former President Nigeria Muhammad Bukhari, who died at the age of 82 at the London clinic on Sunday, arrives home to be buried in his hometown in Katin.
Katin’s governor soko Radda, who is in the British capital with the Bukhara family, said he would be buried later in Daura on Monday, 50 miles (80 km) from Katina.
Nigeria’s vice president is also in London and will accompany the remains of Bukhara back to Nigeria.
“I just left my family at the hospital where he died, and the decision is that his remains will be taken to the daurus for burial, the plan should leave in the morning,” said the Radda Dw Hausa.
The vice president also confirmed that Dauro became the last place of the Bukhara rest in social media reporty after arriving in London.
He said Bukhara died after a short illness without revealing additional details, but many years suffered from poor wellness.

“He is a man who, even retired, remained a moral compass for many, and an example of modesty in public life,” Babanhid said.
President Ball Ahmed Tinuba, who is expected to take part in a funeral prayer in Daura, announced a seven -day national term of mourning in honor of his predecessor.
In an official statement of condolences, published on Sunday night, Tinubu said the nation would be with dignity and proud to respect its last respect for the former leader, starting with the reduction of all state flags to half across the country from Sunday.
