Today is January 7th and the next full moon isn’t until January 13th, but Universal has decided today is the day to reveal the transformation scene from his new The wolf man movie, which opens on January 17.
The “man becomes wolf” moment is a crucial sequence in each werewolf movie– Rick Baker’s visceral work in An American werewolf in London remains the champion of all time, even after four decades – and even if the fans knew The wolf man Inevitably presenting his own version, it’s still a little strange to have a glimpse of Christopher Abbott’s character going through all that hairy agony out of context.

As the night deepens, however, Blake begins to behave strangely, transforming into something unrecognizable, and Charlotte will be forced to decide if the terror in her home is more lethal than the danger without.
The wolf manThe slogan’s tagline promises “a new era of terror is here,” though from what we’ve seen so far (including the scene above), there isn’t quite as distinctive a hook as the re-imagining of Whannell. The invisible man as an epic story of gaslighting followed by a very harsh revenge. But who knows what twists may still appear among the tropes? Find out when The wolf man on January 17 in the cinema.
