Five Israeli men who are justified on charges of rape in Cyprus

Five Israeli men were justified on all charges on Monday at the Cyprus court of allegedly raped a gang of a 20-year-old British woman.

Famagusta’s criminal court cleaned five accused of rape, one of the leaders of sexual abuse, one of the calculations of the forced sexual intercourse, one of the calculations of sexual harassment and one of the abduction count.

She reported police that in September 2023, five Israeli citizens were sexual attack and raped. The five accused were Israeli people between the ages of 19 and 20, coming from Madda al-Kruma.

The trial began in October 2023 in the Famagust Criminal Court, north of the AIII NAP, where the British woman reported that there was an attack.

They denied all the charges.

In his decision, the court stated that the testimony of the woman was not reliable, had contradictions and weaknesses when it concerned the identification of persons and actions in which they were accused.

In such circumstances, a board of three judges determined the wrong identification “not abnormal”, but decided that its testimony had several contradictions.

The court ruled her statement when she stated that she had been drawn from 100 people, not convincingly, because a friend testified that seeing she was just coming up into the room with another person.

While laboratory tests have shown that the woman consumed a considerable amount of alcohol, as well as under the influence of narcotics (MDA and MDMA), the court ruled that it was not to the extent that she would deprive her of the ability to sex – because she said she feels only “slightly dizziness” at the time.

The court also determined that her claim that she was shouting for help during the alleged rape of the gang, not convincing, because two people from the neighboring room said they had not heard anything.

It showed that a woman told a police officer that she had no consensus sex with one person, but in the following statements changed her to two.

In the first statement, the judges stated that three people against her were carried out when the room found that five people were detected in the room. In the following statement, she reported five men who carry out sexual actions.

The court also concluded that it could not be safely determined whether the areas on the woman’s body had been detected before and possibly the result of consensus communication.

Part of the trial was held behind closed doors.
