A budget bill, which has long advertised Donald Trump as a “big, beautiful bill”, was on Friday when the lawmakers from his own party voted against him in Congress.
Five Republicans joined all Democrats, providing a stunning failure to the domestic agenda of President Trump, demanding a deeper reduction of the budget.
Trump, who has overcome close votes several times, called on the legislators to unite the legislation. “We do not need” strength “in the Republican Party. Stop talking and do it!” He said for the truth.
The chances of the success of the bill are not hopeless, but its failure gives the Trump administration its first legislative bruise of the year.
Support for the bill among the Republicans varies. Some tough liners want the budget reduction goes further, and other Republicans express concern about reducing programs such as Medicaid, which depend on their voters.
Five Republicans who voted against measures in the procedural voting have stated that they would continue to support support if the speaker Mike Johnson disagree to further reduce Medicaid, low -income healthcare programs.
They also want Johnson to include the complete abolition of taxes on green energy implemented by the Democrats into the bill.
“This bill appeals deeply,” said the Texas Republican Roy, which voted against this measure. “It doesn’t do what we say it does in relation to the deficit.”
The proposed legislation will extend the tax reduction implemented during the first Trump administration.
While Trump advertises the inclusion of the bill on the taxation of the Soviets, some critics claim that the bill benefits wealthy Americans.
Democrats, which are predominantly opposed to the bill, call for revising Medicaid reduction and reducing the cost law, which offers millions of Americans, subsidizing medicine.
“No other previous bill, no other preliminary law, no other previous event has made so many millions of Americans to lose medical care. Not even a great depression,” said Democrat Pennsylvania Brandan Boyle.
When taken, taxes will cost 3.72 trillion. Dollars (2.8 tons of sterling) for ten years, reports the joint tax committee of Congress.
