Washington DC still digested a clear security violation at the heart of Trump administration.
This is a story about how a journalist is – Atlantic Jeffrey Goldberg’s magazine – was added to the signaling Platform messaging group, which obviously included JD Vance Vice President and Defense Minister Pete Hugset, except for the National Security Advisor Mike Waltz.
The topic discussed was an attack on the Houthi group supported by Iran in Yemen.
Goldberg said he saw the united military plans for the strike, including packages of weapons, goals and terms, two hours before bombs hit.
What are the main discoveries in a nutshell?
As for hostilities, Goldberg said an account called JD Vance wrote: “I think we are mistaken.”
The vice-president said he was focused on Huti’s forces in the Suez Channel, more than the United States, because in Europe it is more traded through the channel.
Vnes added that his chief may not know how the US actions can help Europe.
“I am not sure that the president is aware of how contradictory it is with his message about Europe,” Vnes said. “There is another risk that we see a moderate and strong splash of oil prices.”
According to Goldberg, the vice president continued to say, he would support the consensus, but preferred to detain him for a month.
In his article, Goldberg said that the JD Vance press -secretary later sent him a statement that emphasized that Trump and Vnes held “the following conversations about the issue and were in full agreement.”
From the moment of coming to power, Trump Castigated his European Allies by NATO, urged them to increase defense costs and, as a rule, insisted that Europe should take responsibility for protecting its own interests.
The arguments about why the US could – and should – to hold a military strike against the Hussites did not shake.
He told the Minister of Defense: “If you think we should do it, go.
Gegset mutual:
“I completely share your hatred of European free download. It’s pathetic.”
A member of the group who only “SM” suggested that after the US strike should “make it clear to Egypt and Europe what we expect in return.”
“If Europe is not rewarded, what?” he asked.
“If the United States successfully restores the freedom of navigation for a great price, you need to get some additional economic benefit obtained in return,” the user continues.
According to Goldberg, the head of the national security of the United States after the strike outlined three emoji: “Fist, American flag and fire.”
A special messenger in the Middle East, Steve Witcoof, answered five smileys, Goldberg said: “Two handles, curved biceps and two American flags.”
He said Secretary of State Mark Rubio and the Chief of Staff of the White House Susi Wils expressed reports of support.
“I will say a prayer for the victory,” Vnes said when he was updated about strikes.
Two other members have added prayer emoticons, Goldberg reports.
Prior to the concern, Vens that the action may be considered as Trump’s message about Europe, the US Secretary of Defense wrote:
“VP: I understand your problems – and fully support you that bring up W/ Potus (Trump). Important judgments, most of which are difficult to learn how they are playing (economics, Ukraine peace, gas, etc.).
“I think that messaging will be tough, no matter what – no one knows who Guta is – so we will need to remain focused on: 1) Biden failed and 2) Iran is funded.”
Trump administration has invariably accused Joe Biden of too soft with Iran.
Goldberg said he received an unwanted invitation to the signal exchange platform by means of an account named Michael Waltz, and then two days later he was added to the group chat about Yemen.
The president did not enter this group, but the closest employees of Trump were.
Goldberg initially believed it was a hoax, but soon realized that it was real.
The whole issue adds pressure on national security advisor when the Democrats in the House and Senate call for an urgent investigation.
When asked on Monday about the whole incident, Trump said he didn’t know anything, but he was standing next to the Waltz.
The Defense Minister also stated that there were no secrets.
“Nobody reported on military plans,” he told reporters.
