Five people were killed after a tourist bus crashed in New York in West New York, New York reports.
Police said the group was returning from Niagara Falls to the US-Canadian border in New York when witnesses saw the vehicle lost control and overturned. According to police, most victims are tourists from India, China and the Philippines.
New York Governor Katiel stated that local officials “are working on salvation and assistance to all participants.”
Ambulance and medical helicopters were sent to the crash site, near the city of Pembrook, 30 miles (48 km) east of Buffalo.
Police previously reported that the child was among the dead, but they said it was not.
52 people aboard during the catastrophe were between one and 74, police confirmed.
Police said some victims were thrown out of the vehicle and believed that most were not in the seat belts.
Others were trapped inside the fragments for several hours.
Translators and translation devices were brought to the scene and hospital to help the investigation.
Andre Ray Major, Commander of the Station of New York, said at a press conference: “The cause of the collision was still investigated. However, mechanical failure was excluded at this time, as well as a violation of the operator.
