Former US President Joe Biden said the BBC that the pressure of President of Ukraine Donald Trump has ended his war with Russia and his successor to the “modern device”.
In his first interview from the moment of the exit of the White House, Biden discussed the 80th anniversary of the VE and told Radio 4 today about his fears for future relations between the United States and Europe.
He also reflected on his decision to retreat at the end of last year’s presidential competition – leaving Kamala Harris just a few weeks to challenge Trump – and claimed that it wouldn’t matter if he did it before.
