Fire at North Macedonia Night Club kills at least 51, injury to 100

A fire flashed at the nightclub Northern Macedonia At the beginning of Sunday, 51 people were killed and more than 100 others were injured, the authorities said.

Minister of Health Arben Taravarov said 118 people were hospitalized.

“All our opportunities were made, in maximum efforts to save as much lives involved in this tragedy,” Taravar told reporters, adding that neighboring countries of Albania, Bulgaria and Greece offered assistance.

“This is a difficult and very sad day for Macedonia. The loss of so many young people is irreparable, and the pain in families, close and friends is immeasurable,” writes Prime Minister Baptism Nicholas on X.

“People and the government will do everything they depends on them to although their pain and help them in these most difficult moments,” he continued.

Toskowski said the authorities would investigate the provisions of licensing and safety of places, adding that the government is “moral responsibility” to help pursue everyone who is in charge. Police arrested one person Already, but he did not submit details about the person’s participation.
