Turki Alshikh asked his followers tonight X what they think of a struggle between the unified heavy weight champion Jaron ‘boots’ Ennis and Teophimo Lopez. This is a struggle that would require two things to happen if it happens later.
Turki would not ask the fans what they think of a battle between Ennis and Teo if he did not think about making this game quickly.

- Ennis successfully defends your required WBA Shakhram Giyasov
Turki did not say when he could consider a fight between boots (34-0, 30 kos) and heavy weight theophimo from Light Wbo (21-1, 13 kos). For both of them, Cannot pass soon enough.
Ennis was raised today in Super Champion by the WBA Championship Committee and was forced to defend himself from Giyasov (17-0, 10 kos) within 120 days after his victory over Eimantas Stanionis on April 12.

Boots promoter Eddie Hearn probably would like to face Teophimo on the side instead of Giyasov. Not only is López’s greater money struggle, but it is easier for Ennis than to face the 2016 Olympic Silver Medal Giyasov.
López does not have an attractive struggle in the immediate pipeline if he is victorious against Barboza Jr. (33-0, 11 kos) May 2. Their options are a unification match against the IBF Light Welterweight, Richardson Hitchins and Subriel Matias champion. They are not big fights and they would both be risky for Teo.
Integrated excuse
If Turki can establish Lopez for a fight against WBA and IBF Ennis champions boots, it would be a greater salary to him. In addition, it provides Teo an integrated excuse if it loses. He can always tell his fans that they hit him the number 1 weight on the planet, his boots, and would give him a free pass for his defeat. López would not have this luxury if he loses Hitchins or Matias.
