The FBI is investigating the efforts of one or more unknown people to access Susi Wils’s personal phone, the Chief of Staff of the White House, the BBC US News CBS partner reported.
Key Trump Eli told the people that her phone had been hacked after the publisher – or publishers – used the file of her contacts to inform other US officials, CBS sources said.
Some reports were suspicion after being asked if they could continue the conversation on another platform, such as Telegram.
“The White House is very serious about cybersecurity of all employees, and this issue continues to be investigated,” the White House press secretary said.
The period of time for which messages was received is unknown.
The Wall Street Journal first reported the incident, and the FBI probe started in response.
The expense was aimed at her personal phone, not on the state phone, reports The Wall Street Journal. It also reports that the recipients included American senators, governors and the best business executives.

Responding to the latest incident, the Director of the FBI Podel said in a statement CBS News: “The FBI accepts all threats against the president, its staff, and our cybersecurity with maximum seriousness; maintaining the ability of our administration officials securely to fulfill the president’s mission.”
