Fans Mc Alger die from Algerian football stadium

Three people died after falling from the top stadium stand in Algeria immediately after the final whistle when the local MC Alger football team won the league title, the Ministry of Health reports.

Dozens of others were injured when the security barrier collapsed, and the fans increased forward to celebrate before reaching the lower level of the stadium on July 5, local media reported.

More than 70 people were treated in three hospitals, the Ministry of Health reports, adding that most have come out.

MC Alger players and staff went to the hospital to donate blood to the victims, according to Reuters news agency.

The stadium was stuffed for the game, which saw that the MC Alger kept the league title they won last year.

During the match, the mood was festive, with green smoke from the outbreak covered the stadium.

After the tragedy, the presentation of the league trophy was postponed.

President Algeria Abdelmadjid Tebbun expressed his condolences and wished the rapid recovery of the victims.

Mc Alger won the league for the second consecutive year after the 0-0 compliance against NC Magra.
