Delhi Capitals won the launch and chose the first game in the game. They started starting at the tickets, while Mustafizur Rahman, Mukesh Kumar and Kuldeep Yadav fired Rohit Sharma, Will Jacks and Ryan Ricelton inside 7.
However, they were poor at death and allowed me to publish 180/5 on the board. Mukesh Kumar (2/48), Kuldeep Yadav (1/22), Mustafizur Rahman (1/30) and Dushmantha Chameera (1/54) were among DC doctors. Pursuing the goal, Delhi Capital Batters were miserable and launched by 121 to 18.2.
Speaking after the game, Faf du Pessis praised his teammates for excellent performance in the first entrances, but he was disappointed with the bowls that filtered 48 runs in the last two. Said:
“Today we have been excellent in the field. The boys showed a great fight. The bowls were obviously launched, the easiest tone to beat, probably made the work of the bowls a little easier. However, it is a very strong shake line and I thought we were excellent and then 17-18 use … it lost that impulse.”
FAF du Pessis said that in order to overcome the Mumbai Indians, they had to be at their best throughout the game, but they failed to do so. FAF DU PLESSIS said:
“If you looked at the two teams before today’s device, it was a case of David and Goliath, I enjoy because it offers the boys the opportunity to really play team together.
“Credit to them, Rizvi showed some signs today, has some talent there. When you play against a powerful team like this, you must be at the best and, unfortunately, for 17-18 we were and the last two we were quite medium.”
FAF du Pessis said that the absence of “ill” Axar Patel hurt them badly, and that a bad performance against Mumbai Indians summed up their season, as they were very poor and cold in the last games. FAF DU DU PLESSIS elaborated:
“With the bat, you need a good start on a surface like this and we do not go at all with the bat. It summarizes almost our season, we have been cold in battles or bowls in the last 6-7 games.
“(Axa and Starc missing), especially to Axar, in a wick like this. If we look at the way Mitch Santner turned over, they are similar bowls. Axar is an internationally tested bowl. Starc is a fantastic bowling, a spinner in a wicket like this is worth gold.”
Delhi Capitals faced a 12th -house disregarding defeat against Mumbai Indians on April 13, 2025 at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. Despite Karun Nair’s brightness, DC did not pursue the goal and folded by 193 at 19 points.
Opting first for Bowl, the DC bowls turned out to be very expensive and filtered many races. However, good performances by Spinners Kuldeep Yadav (2/23) and Vipraj Nigam (2/41), as well as Pacer Mukesh Kumar (1/38), saw that Delhi capitals restricted the Mumbai Indians to a total of 205/5.
Chasing 206, DC lost Jake Fraser-Mcgurk in the first ball. However, Karun Nair did not let the loss of an early wick affect the team, as it struck a brutal 89, which left 40 balls with 12 four and 5 six to keep DC hunting.
He gained good support from Abishek Porel (33), but regular doctors hurt his impulse. Nair was finally dismissed by a Jaffa by Mitchell Santner on the 12th and the persecution of DC was revealed. They continued to lose doctors at regular intervals and a hat-trick of the outings at the end saw them leaving all 193 to 19.
