FAF du Pessis joins Ms. Dhoni, Steve Smith on the list of elite captaincy after directing DC to IPL 2025

Delhi’s capitals are assuming the Mumbai Indians in the crucial 2025 crash without his captain, Axar Patel. Spin-Bowling All Rousser lost the shock due to a “bad flu”.

With Axar Sideled, the veteran star of South -Africa, Faf du Pessis, took over the team against the Mumbai Indians. Speaking to Toss, the former Proteas captain revealed that Axar wasted because of the illness, saying: “Axar has been with flu. Really ill in the last two days. We will miss him today.”

And even before the first ball of the game turned over, FAF du Pessis created several records due to his role as captaincy. He became the oldest player to lead Delhi Capitals in the IPL. In the general list, it is only behind Ms. Dhoni, Shane Warne and Adam Gilchrist.

  • FAF DU PLESSIS (RCB, DC)

A DO-O-DIE match for FAF du Pessis & Co.

In the meantime, the game against Mumbai Indians is a do-o-mole for Delhi’s capitals. They need to win the game at any price to keep their playoffs alive. Mumbai and Delhi fight for the remaining playoffs.

A victory for Mumbai against Delhi would take them to the playoffs. On the other hand, a victory for Delhi would not confirm his playoffs, but would put them in a strong position. If Delhi defeated Mumbai and will also win his last league game, they will qualify for the playoffs, regardless of what happens in other games.

Although Delhi fails to win his last league game, they will qualify for the Playoffs if Mumbai suffers a defeat in his last league game.
