According to the lawsuit, Lively initially expressed concerns about Baldoni. Before they started filming It Ends With Usshe objected to the sex scenes he wanted to add – something she considered gratuitous.
The lawsuit also asked that there be “no further additions of sex scenes, oral sex or climax on camera by BL outside the scope of the script approved by BL when signing on to the project.”
He vividly claimed that Baldoni had improvised an unwanted kiss and discussed his sex life, including times when he may not have had permission.
“Mr. Baldoni performed an impromptu physical intimacy that was not rehearsed, choreographed or discussed with Ms. Lively, with no intimacy coordinator involved,” the docs say. “For example, Mr. Baldoni bit and sucked on Ms lower lip. Lively during a scene where he improvised several kisses on each. Mr Baldoni insisted on shooting the full scene over and over, far beyond what would have been required on a normal set, and without prior warning or permission.”
Another example of alleged attempts to add nudity to the script includes one of the final scenes of the film when Lively’s character gives birth. “Mr. Baldoni insisted to Ms. Lively that women give birth naked, and that his wife had ‘torn off her clothes’ during labour,” the documents read. ” She claimed that it was not ‘normal’ for women to stay in their hospital gowns while giving birth. Ms. disagreed. Lively, but she felt she was forced to compromise that she would be bare from the chest down.
The lawsuit claims a meeting was held in January to address some of Lively’s concerns about It Ends With Us‘ production.
The meeting was attended by Lively’s husband, Ryan Reynoldsand some of her demands that were addressed included “no more showing Blake nude videos or images of women, no more talking about Baldoni’s alleged ‘pornography addiction’, no more discussions of sexual conquests in front of Blake and others, no further mention of the genitalia of the cast and crew, no more inquiries about Blake’s weight, and no further mention of Blake’s dead father.”
The lively claimed that producer Jamey Heath he showed her a video of his wife naked and watched Lively in her trailer while she was dope and getting rid of body make-up – after she asked him not to look. She vividly claimed that Heath and Baldoni entered her make-up trailer while she was undressed, including when she was breastfeeding.
According to the lawsuit, Wayfarer agreed to the terms she was seeking and acknowledged, “Although our perspective is different in many aspects, ensuring a safe environment for everyone is paramount.”
Lively allegedly told the people she worked with that the men’s behavior had improved by Spring with the new protections.
In the documents, Lively claimed that Baldoni broke character during a slow dance scene on the roof. “He leaned forward and slowly trailed his lips from her ear and down her neck as he said, ‘It smells so good.’ None of this was by any means, or based on any dialogue in the script, and there was no need to say anything because, again, there was no sound – Mr Baldoni was petting Mr. lively with his mouth in a way that had nothing to do with their roles. When Ms. objected Lively this behavior later, Ms. response. Baldoni was, ‘I’m not even attracted to you.'”
Lively accused Baldoni of shaming her body on set. “Mr. Baldoni also degraded Ms. Lively routinely finds back-channel ways to criticize her body and weight,” the doc claims. “A few weeks before filming began and less than four months after Ms Lively gave birth her fourth childMs Lively was humiliated to hear that Mr Baldoni had secretly called her fitness trainer, without her knowledge or consent, and suggested that pressure in two weeks. Mr. Baldoni told the coach that he asked because he was worried about having to pick up Ms. Lively in a scene for the film, but there was no such scene.
Lively accused Baldoni of launching a “social manipulation” campaign against her to “destroy” her reputation.
In the lawsuit – which included “thousands of pages of texts and emails” Lively obtained through a lawyer – it is alleged that a publicist working with the studio and Baldoni wrote to a crisis management specialist, “He wants to feel that he can bury her. “
“This plan went far beyond a standard PR crisis,” the docs say, claiming that Baldoni’s team proposed a concept called “‘astroturfing,’ which is defined as ‘the practice of publishing opinions or comments on the internet, in the media, etc. which appear to come from ordinary members of the public but in fact come from a particular company or political group.’”
Baldoni would “set the narrative for the social media campaign,” according to the documents. One example cited was the X thread around Hailey Bieber “He had accused another famous woman of bullying women.” Baldoni wrote in the text, “This is what we would need.”
After “almost every member of the cast chose to appear in public apart from Mr. Baldoni given his initial behavior,” according to the documents, he allegedly “became concerned that the public would discover that there was “something much more beneath the surface,” prompting him to change his own social media strategy too.
“After the premiere of the Film, Mr. Baldoni changed his Instagram profile, canceled light social media posts, and directed his team to seek responses and support from survivors – all in an effort to quickly shift his own public narrative to focus on survivors and domestic only. organizations of violence,” the doc says, when his team pointed out that “this shift might be too drastic too soon,” he didn’t mind. The documents read: “However, Mr. Baldoni on the ‘Tik Tok strategy’ and that his promotional activities for the Film should try to amplify what he described as ‘survivor content’.”
