TMZ reported that in December Baldoni sued briskly for sexual harassment and “serious emotional distress.” His lawyer, Bryan Freedmanhe said in a statement to Us Weekly that the allegations are “absolutely false, outrageous and deliberately salacious.” Us reached out to Lively’s rep for comment at the time.

It Ends With Us just hit theaters, but Blake Lively a Justin Baldoni the off-camera dynamic is what fans are really talking about.
Ahead of the opening on Friday, August 9, TikTok sleuths suspecteda rift between the pair – partly related to the final cut of the film. Originally, the feud speculation began to swirl when fans noticed that Lively, 36, doesn’t follow Baldoni, 40, on Instagram, nor does anyone else in the cast. (Lively is also a producer on the project, while Baldoni directed the film.)
Lively has shared a lot of promo for the film that includes costars Jenny Slate, Brandon Sklenar, Isabella Ferrer a Alex Neustadter a It Ends With Us author Colleen Hoover.
Meanwhile, Baldoni follows Lively on social media — and has appeared on Hoover’s Instagram several times while shooting the adaptation. Hoover, 44, is currently unfollowing Baldoni, suggesting more falling out.
Eagle-eyed fans also pointed out that Baldoni was conspicuously absent joint press events for the film and there were no large cast photos from the New York City premiere.
Lively added her own fuel to the fire when she revealed that her husband, Ryan Reynoldshe wrote part of the roof view in the film. She noted at the time that she and Reynolds, 47, often enlisted each other to help with various projects. Reynolds was later tapped to help promote the film by did an interview with Sklenar.
Back The Hollywood ReporterAccording to all reports, lively then asked for a cut of the film from the editor Shane Reid before the film was completed. (Reid previously worked with Lively Taylor Swiftis “I Bet You’re Thinking About Me” music video, which she directed. He was also an editor on Reynolds. Deadpool and Wolverine.)
The outlet noted that it was unclear whether any of the cut – credited to editors Oona Flaherty a Robb Sullivan — used in the final version.
Us Weekly learned that it is not uncommon for someone to commission a different version of the film as part of the editing process before the film hits theatres.
In the case of Lively and Baldoni, the source noted, “All parties agreed on the final cut of the film and it was agreed that this was the best version of the film.”
Despite rumors of tension between Lively and Baldoni, who plays Lily Bloom and Ryle Kincaidrespectively, Baldoni has sung Lively’s praises throughout his journey in the press. His costar also offered to direct the potential sequel, which would be based on Hoover’s It Starts With Us a novel.
“I think there are better people for that one,” Baldoni said Entertainment Tonight on Tuesday, August 6, when he was asked if he would double double again for the next possible installment.
He added, “I think Blake Lively is ready to direct. That’s what I think,” noting that he needed a “holiday” after starring and directing the film.
