1) Question: How did everything start? Initially you were gymnast, so how did you develop an interest in the cricket?
Deep: I have always thought of the cricket because we belong to the generation of ’83. Since childhood, I had decided to play Cricket. I developed a bond with the game watching Sunil GavaskarKapil Dev and all the players of the 1983 World Cup. Everyone at home was also a cricket fan, as is the case with most Indian households. So the cricket was always in my head.
At that time, Cricket was not as organized as today, where children begin in academies at the age of four or five. At that time there was no this system. In Delhi, there was a national stadium, where Cricket activities have now stopped, but before, academies for all sports operated under the NIS. I was very young, maybe seven or eight years old, and there was no permission to play Cricket before the age of 11 or 12. But there was no official age limit.
That is why I started with gymnastics. The reason for this was my older brother: he was a athlete nationally. He had to go to train -so I started to accompany him. Since I did not allow me to play Cricket at that age, but gymnastics was open to children of seven or eight years old, I took it. This is how my journey with gymnastics began before I gradually pass to the cricket.
As for my most memorable moments in the cricket, play was a different experience. But comments are also incredible work, in my opinion. However, playing the game is still unique, nothing compares to this experience.
2) Question: What was the most memorable time of your cricket career? Was your debut in the test, that every cricket dreams since childhood? You also played a brilliant entry to your second test game. Tell us this experience.
Deep: Yes, it was very out of the locker room. The party referee had banned and fined some players, so the atmosphere was quite tense. But our senior players reassured us, saying: “The test game is not over yet. Do not pay attention to what happens outside. We will manage everything. Just focus on your game. “
In my first test game, I went in to beat number seven. But before the second test, Sourav Ganguly told me, “You have to open.” I immediately replied, “I have no problem; I will play anywhere. I just want to play, either at the UOA number eleven. “” Said, “OK, then you will open.” And so, I opened -me in the second test.
In that game, we had to beat all the last day. I went to shake during the last session of the fourth day and had to play during the fifth day. It was a very special experience for me. Rahul Dravid I was beating with me, and playing next to him was a great learning opportunity in itself. The way he guided me, I understood how players think and play. This entry with him was one of the most memorable moments of my career.

3) Question: You are now a cricket commentator. How much do you enjoy comments?
Deep: I think there is no better job than this one. You get to see the game, talk, travel and this is your job. What could be better? Wake up in the morning, go to the ground, look at the game and discuss it, it’s really an incredible experience. Being a commentator is fantastic, and when people enjoy your analysis and listen to you, they feel even more rewarding. It is a job full of passion and I love absolutely.
4) Question: Who is your favorite commentator?
Deep: The comment, like the cricket, is a team effort. Just as all players on a cricket team play a different role: some are operators, some are mid -order bats, some are spinners and some are fast bowls, the same is applied to a comments team. Everyone brings their unique strengths. Some have a strong command of language, others provide a deep view of the game and everyone has a different way to analyze it.
For example, if anyone was a batter, their perspective will differ from someone who was a bowl. Some commentators are great storytellers, some see the game from a training perspective and others focus on in depth analysis.
In my experience, all the commentators I have worked with are excellent in their ways. Therefore, it would not be fair to name only a favorite. I have been in this profession for ten years and I have had the privilege of working with many legends. There is no formal school or academy to comment, so every day it is a learning experience. Especially when I worked with senior commentators, I learned a lot from them. I consider myself very fortunate to have had the opportunity to work with such great names, all of which have been incredibly supportive.
5) Question: People say that Rohit Sharma and Kohli races are over. What do you think: are they in their final phase?
Deep: In my opinion, Rohit and Spread are still very present at the Cricket Hate. The real question is about your future in the test cricket. As I said before, both are such great players that their cricket races should never be questioned or there should be no speculation. No player can mark 32 centuries hate or 81 international centuries: these two are legends.
Now the biggest question is not how many more years they can play, but if they still have the same hunger and passion they had ten years ago. Both have achieved a lot, individually and for the team. They have won the World Cup, they set up numerous records. The real question is whether they still have the same unit as before. If they do, they will continue to play and work well. But neither you nor can we answer that, only Rohit and Spot can.
The key question is: Are they still ready to make the same sacrifices? Are they ready to wake up in the early morning to train and hours of practice? Will they continue to prioritize the cricket on special family occasions? If their hunger is still the same, they will continue to play at the highest level.
