India’s main coach of the Cricket team Gambhir said that Jasprit Bumrah’s rhythm spear chief is a “quality player”, but they have other talented players in the squad who can fill their shoes.

Gautam Gambhir said that they have sufficient quality in the Indian squad and will not miss Jasprit Bumrah, as even in his absence, India won the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. Gautam Gambhir said:
“I have said it before the Trophy of Champions (which Bumrah lost and India also won), giving someone the opportunity to put their hand and we have enough talent there. I know it is quality, but we have enough quality apart from it in the workforce.”

The recent designated Shubman Gill test captain was on the same page with his main coach and said that they have enough bowls in the squad that they can be game winners. Said:
“I think we have chosen enough bowls and we have enough rhythm battery and many fast bowls are in an excellent space to win the US test matches in any situation or any position.
“Obviously, when you have someone like Jasprit Bumrah, depending on how many games he would play, as long as he returned and playing the game for us, it would be a great view to us. But I think we have a great mix of bowls and a large set of bowls that can get the job for the team.
Apart from Bumrah, India has the tastes of Mohammed Siraj, Prasidh Krishna, Akash Deep and Arshdeep Singh, Nitish Kumar Reddy and Shardul Thakur in the rhythm department.
