Hogle’s first novel, You deserve one another, published in April 2020. The lovers-to-elemies-to-love romance Following Naomi Westfield and Nicholas “Nick” he arose in the period before their marriage. Custody? Neither wants to get married – but they don’t want to get stuck by paying the bill for the nuptials canceled either.
You deserve one another were Customized for the cash screen In 2025, with Badgley and Fahy being cast as Nick and Naomi, respectively.

Badgley and Fahy are the only actors whose casting has been formally announced to date.
Brett Haley and Marc is barking an early draft writing, which Silverstein Mark and Abby’s column (Never been kissed he’s not into you) Revised. Silverstein and Kohn will also co-direct the film.
The book charts the journey of Naomi and Nick to the altar as they all take off elaborate plans and pranks in a bid to get the other to call the nuptials away first. Of course, in a true romantic-comedy fashion, the duo may remember why they fell in love along the way.
Badgley and Fahy were seen on a set in New York City in July 2025. (The book is set as notably in the Midwest, so it is not clear at this time how the cityscape could change the story line.)

“So I don’t usually do this, but my wife (Domino Kirke) and I have just finished sirens. Very sirens, want to put her flowers,” she said in an Instagram reel. “Now obviously there is Julianne, Kevin, there’s Milly, but this fahy meghann. This new -rise, this refreshing gawky beauty, loves him, loves you.”
Fahy replied, “Penn! This is so kind. Thank you. Tell Domino I say hi. And that her taste is without.”
Badgley’s “newcomer” line appeared to refer to Fahy Cameo on a chapter of his Girls of Clecs serialize. Since playing an assistant to an opponent of Chuck Bass (Ed Westwick), Fahy has gone on to star in the like The bold type, the white lotus and Drop.
A release date has not yet been announced.
