Of all the Batman movies that have been released over the past decades, 1995’s Batman forever accepts what I consider to be a lot of unnecessary hate. Losing points among die-hard batman fans for being incredibly sporty and over-top compared to Tim Burton Batman and Batman Returns (and Dark Knight Series Christopher Nolan), Joel Schumacher’s Batman forever He is not remembered dearly because he is not dark and hatched as his predecessors or successors, but somewhat bright, explosive, stylish, and horned, much like the 1960s iteration of Batman which included Adam West like The Dark Knight and Burt Ward like Robin.
I don’t necessarily see this style pivot as a reason to hate on Batman forever Because when you look at any film critically, you need to consider one very important aspect regardless of critics and audiences saying: Did the film achieve what he intended to do?
I think yes.
Not the best but definitely not the worst
I’m going to extend olive branch first because I need to go on record saying that Michael Keaton is the best batman, no bar, because of his dry wit and Deadpan delivery. Christian Bale works under the direction of Chistopher Nolan in Dark Knight’s trilogy at a close moment for me because of how Nolan spent a considerable amount of time building the back stories and emotionally through lines that carried a great deal of pressure throughout the film series, all of which have tremendous payment payments that will stand the test of time.
I also need to go on record saying that Batman Forever’s Unfortunate sequel, 1997’s Batman & Robin deservedly deserved from its critical score 12 percent on rotten tomatoes for bringing them George Clooneywho has ruined his portrait of Batman in public (and deservedly), to the mixture.
