Thunderbolts* Very popular critical and commercial for some supporters to pretend that “Marvel is back!” and better than ever.
But while the Disney -owned superhero factory has produced its fair share of smell in recent years (sorry, American Captain: A brave new world), there is one post-Endgame A movie that has never been due.
When released in November 2023, The wonders is a box office bomb and misunderstood that should have had much more love and support than it did. Now that it’s 2025, it’s time to rethink its status as one of the MCU’s biggest disappointments. This is why I love now more than ever, and why you should watch it right now.

One of the biggest complaints about the MCU these days is that it needs too much homework. With so many movies and interlinked shows, it can be overwhelming to keep up. That’s a fair point – but for comic book fans, that complexity is part of the fun. (It is difficult to read any comic without seeing a note to refer to another matter or series.)
Some viewers felt that the MCU’s Disney+ series did not do enough to connect with the films – or worse, that the films had completely ignored the shows. Doctor Strange in the multilateral of madnessFor example, Wanda Maximoff’s emotional arc repeatedly from Wandavision without adding any new insights.
The wondersOn the other hand, a rare exception. It builds directly on Wandavision, Ms Marvel and Captain Marvel – Three of the MCU’s most successful projects. If you loved Wandavision and they were disappointed by how Strange doctor Treat a wanda story, The wonders is a much stronger sequence. It contains Monica Rambeau (Teyonah Parris), whose grief in losing her mother is Wandavision Help her show empathy with wanda pain.

Ms Marvelthe Ya series found after Wandavisionis one of the most fun, vigorous and emotional records of the MCU thanks to a new -arrival IMAN VELLANI. And Captain Marvel to introduce us to Brie LarsonCarol Danvers, a key player in the fight against Thanos’s Avengers: Endgame.
The wonders Feels like a treat for fans who have followed the whole story. These three projects – Wandavision, Captain Marvel and Ms Marvel – Present some of the best MCU performances and stories. If you are the type of fan who enjoys the MCU’s interconnected nature, do not let the bad box office numbers stop you from giving this one a shot.

Vellani, who plays Kamala Khan/MS. Marvel, in her own huge comic book – she is famous dressed up as Ms Marvel for Halloween Long before being cast in the role itself. Since joining the MCU, she has also become a comic book writer, Determine matters from the Ms Marvel comics When she’s not acting. That is, she is a fan, and that breath enthusiasm is lovely to watch on screen. She infuses so much fun and energy to the film that it is practically impossible not to have fun with her.
The wonders Lying on the chemistry that Vellani has with the character of Larson, Carol Danvers/Captain Marvel, and Dr. Monica Rambeau Parris. (The lack of the name of Rambeau’s superhero is a lot of fun throughout the film.) The three women bring that chemistry by the Barrelful, and the unique default of the relationships and powers of their characters is about it.

Due to a series of complex events, Carol, Monica and Kamala powers are all immersed, causing them to exchanged places physically when they use their capabilities at the same time. The wonders uses this preset very effectively.
When they start changing places initially, it provides great comic relief, with all women confused and amazed by each switch. But as they get to know each other better, they can use this new connection to power their attacks, leading to pretty great and wonderful action sequences.
A woman dances with a man in ‘The Marvels.’
Marvel StudiosMCU films have always had a great sense of humor about them, and that’s what often separates them from their more Dour DC counterparts. But as the studio began to churn more and more movies, the Quippy dialogue of square jaw heroes began to feel a formula, pulling some of the “oomph” out of the jokes.
The wonders Takes that comedy sensibility and increases the ante, embracing the chaotic roots and champy of Marvel’s “cosmic” characters and allowing tranquility to the story. There is a planet that only communicates through song and sequence where a ship crew is culled by ravenous little cats. It’s disgusting, but the characters know it’s disgraceful. That’s what makes it fun!
The wonders Self-importance does not weigh down like other superhero movies, but the emotional poles still feel very real because of the performances of the three leaders. It’s fun to watch, but it also provides some remarkably deep characterization to their heroines who are not really present in other films in the genre.

As so many women -led properties to get out of the MCU, The wonders Bombing Review by people criticizing him as “wake up” before he even hit theaters. Unfortunately, there are toxic corners of Marvel’s fan base determined to tear women led by women, especially women of color, at every time. But now it is available on Disney+Why not decide for yourself?
I don’t say that The wonders is the best film in the MCU. The film is flawed, with a common villain and a hasty narrative that keeps it from great. But if you saw it when it first came out and had very high expectations of how it would link to the future of the MCU, give it a second look and try to appreciate it for what it is. The wonders A fun, campy with a great cast that tells an epic story, outside the world. I had a great time watching it then, and I hope you do too.
