The European Union is preparing for additional tariffs from the US, despite talking to US Presidential Administration Donald Trump earlier this week.

Earlier, Trump called Meloni a “wonderful woman” and said that there was a “very strong leadership with Georgia” in Rome.
Meloni and Trump share conservative political ideas as well as similar views on China. However, negotiations may still be in turn, as Trump may push Meloni to the issue of Rome’s expenses as part of his NATO alliance commitments. Rome has not yet fulfilled the goals of the coalition to invest 2% of its GDP for security.
