Errol Spence Vs Sebastian Fundora: March 29 fight in Las Vegas

WBC and WBO junior middleweight champion Sebastian Fundora will fight Errol Spence tentatively scheduled for March 29 in Las Vegas. The fight is still in negotiations.

Former unified welterweight champion Spence (28-1, 22 KOs) will be inactive for 20 months when his fight with ‘The Towering Inferno’ Fundora (21-1-1, 13 KOs) takes place. Errol turns 35 on March 3. The fight is expected to be shown on PBC on Prime Video PPV. No word yet on the pay-per-view price, but it’s likely to be close to $80.

@FerSabatiniBox and @DanRafael1 broke the news about the Fundora vs Spence fight on March 29th.

Spence is coming off a ninth round knockout loss to Terence ‘Bud’ Crawford on July 29, 2023. Errol took a lot of punishment in that fight and was never competitive. Physically, he didn’t look like the fighter he had been in 2018 and earlier in his career. Some believe that the combination of injuries Spence suffered in his 2019 car crash, sparring, inactivity, weight gain and age had taken a toll on him.

The 6’5″ Fundora is coming off a long layoff, having last fought on April 30, 2024, defeating WBO 154-pound champion Tim Tszyu by split decision 12 rounds. It was a grueling fight for both, leaving Tszyu a bloody mess from a pre-fight head clash.
