“At the moment she is still in the ICU as doctors continue to treat, diagnose and search for answers,” Paine wrote through Instagram Earlier this month. “We would hide your prayers for this beautiful woman who is so much light in a dark world. We hold on to God’s promises.”
Days later, Erin faced a barrier.

According to Paine, it was difficult to watch Erin navigating his health struggle.
“Like her husband, it’s one of the hardest things I’ve ever faced – sit by her side and watch her battle while being so helpless to relieve her suffering,” Paine concluded. “I love her deeper than words can express, and I can’t even imagine life without my best friend. The hours have been long and heavy, and I know that many hearts are painful to see this way, along with mine.”
