“My husband would prefer us not to be so public – I’m not so public,” Andrews, 46, told Success magazine in an interview published on Friday, January 10.
While the couple, who tied the knot in 2017, navigated their fertility journey, the idea of privacy came to the fore. “It was just like, ‘Why do we have to say this?’ And I said, ‘Because these waiting rooms are full,'” he explained.
Andrews has been honest over the years her fertility journeyshare in essay 2021 for Bulletin that she had been undergoing treatments that were “time consuming and emotionally draining”. since she was 35 years old. In July 2023, the couple welcomed their first child, son Mack, via surrogate.
Now, the couple are considering adding another little one to their family. “We’re talking about trying again,” Andrews said A! News in October 2024. “I was very, very honest with my doctor a few weeks ago. I said, ‘We’ve had such a high with Mack’s birth and how great he’s doing that I don’t want to go back to that point of failure again, and I’m scared of it to be honest.’ “
Before Mack was born, Andrews lost two of her embryos. “It’s crazy, because once you get back on the phone with your fertility doctor and you start talking about the trip again, all the PTSD comes back, how crappy did you feel, how numb your body is, just fear of loss,” she said.
Andrews noted that she and Stoll, 42, lean on each other through the emotional processhelping each other by sharing their feelings.
“Sometimes men don’t want to talk about these things, but they also feel the feelings too,” Andrews said. “My husband was really great after we went through more lows than highs, just being like, ‘This is terrible. This is not great. I feel really angry, and I feel like a failure,’ and that really helped too.”
While navigating her job responsibilities and parenting duties, Andrews shared that she is still finding the right work-life balance. “I talked about it on a walk with my husband last night as we were walking our dog – we have a lot going on,” she told Success magazine.
Andrews said the start of the NFL season is when her life gets “absolutely crazy” with her work. “Also it’s a Super Bowl year,” he said. “We have Tom Brady on our broadcast crew this year. So it’s going to be a lot.”
