Jeffrey Epstein’s victims on Wednesday gave emotional reports of sexual abuse when they acted on the steps of the US Capitol and called on the legislators to release more files about a convicted sexual offender.
One of the women, Lisa Philipp, said
“We will confidentially make up the names we all know regularly in the Epstein world,” she said. “This will be done for survivors and survivors.”
The event was organized by American lawmakers calling for additional Epstein investigation files publicly.
During a two-hour press conference, nine Epstein women spoke in detail about their experience and abuse of a disgraced financier.
Ms Philips urged the Ministry of Justice to release all the documents and information he has from the investigation, adding that many victims were afraid of the consequences when they treat the names themselves.
The lawyer added that they were afraid that they were sued or the attack because “no one defended them for the first time.”
Speaking publicly for the first time, Marina Lacerd said that she had worked in Epstein from the age of 14, until she was 17 years old when the disgraced financier determined that she was “too old”.
“I was one of the dozens of girls I personally know who was forced to Jeffery’s mansion … In New Yar when we were just children,” she said.
“My friend next door told me that I can earn $ 300 to give another guy a massage,” Lakeda said, becoming noticeably emotional. “It went from the work of Marie to the worst nightmare.”
Annie farmer, who is now 46, said she was taken to New Mexico at the age of 16 to spend the weekend with Epstein. Her sister also flew there and reported abuse, ”she said, but nothing was done.
“We still do not know why this report was not properly investigated, or why Epstein and his associates were allowed to harm hundreds, if not thousands of other girls and young women,” she said.
Chauntae Davies addressed the question of Trump and Epstein’s relationship, saying that “the biggest tail of the sex offender was forever that he was a very good friend with Donald Trump.”
“He had a picture on the table, with them,” she said.
Trump was a member of Epstein, but stated that they fell in the early 2000s because the financier lacked staff from the Trump spa.
“This is a hoax that never ends,” Trump told reporters in the Oval Service on Wednesday when asked about the neighboring press conference.
He said that “no one is ever satisfied” with the released files, adding that the call to get additional issues is a distraction from his office recording.
“Indeed, I think that’s enough,” Trump said.
On Tuesday evening, 33,000 pages were voiced and a few videos were put in court in the Justice Department and the Epstein estate. However, most of them were already publicly available.
The best Democrat in the Committee, Robert Garcia, said, “Don’t let this fool.”
“After a careful review, the Democrats of Supervision found that 97% of the documents coming from the Ministry of Justice were already publicly available. No customer list and nothing that improves transparency and justice for the victims,” he said.
The Ministry of Justice is believed to have about 100,000 pages of Epstein material.
The release on Tuesday after the publication last month in an interview with the US Department of Justice with GhisLine Maxwell, who was an Epstein complicit.
In transcripts – 300 pages, some heavily edited – Maxwell said that when she believed that Trump and Epstein were friendly “in social conditions”, she didn’t think they were close friends.
Two members of the House, Republican Thomas Massi from Kentucky and Democrat Ro -Khan from California, try to vote for the forced justice department to release all documents in the case.
On Wednesday, they collected signatures, and dozens of representatives agreed to support this step. They will need 218 signatures to force the vote, that is, two Republicans will need it.
“It is shameful that it was called a hoax. This is not a hoax,” the mass said. “There are real sacrifices in this criminal enterprise, and criminals are protected because they are rich and powerful.”
Leaders of the White House and the Republican congresses oppose the release of all files, saying that he could expose the identity of the victims who do not want to publicly.
