Party preview for England against Albania

England started a new age tomorrow night, while Thomas Tuchel took over the three lions for the first time.

Albania are the visitors of Wembley with the two teams that open their classification campaigns for the World Cup, as they are committed to finals next summer in the United States, Mexico and Canada.

Tuchel has demanded more “English” approach to his players, highlighting a more direct and aggressive way of playing and Away from football based on possession under the predecessor Gareth Southgate.

The German said: “ We want to play with the hunger and a joy of winning and not with the fear of losing. Everything can happen in football – we know it, but the attention focuses on winning (and having) a higher number of touches in the opponent’s box, a higher amount of attacks, a higher amount of high ball recoveries.

“Seeing the euros, I felt tension and pressure on the shoulders of the players and played not to lose.

“I want us to play with enthusiasm and hunger and the desire to win … and the acceptance of the failure is part, especially in football.”

England captain Harry Kane has worked with Tuchel before, at Bayern Munich last season, and is excited to reactivate his relationship on the international stage.

Kane said, “I had the pleasure of working with him last year and knew what I could contribute to the type of workforce we have.

“We have only been together for a few days and did not disappoint.

“He is very good talking. He knows what he wants and knows what he wants from his team. No matter who you are or how many games you have played, he will tell you the same thing that he will tell one of the young players what he wants. It is a good standard to establish.”

Albania is trained by the ex-left of Arsenal Sylvinho and his will be interested next to him to improve a record of two wins in his last nine games.
