British tennis pro Emma Raducanu He was shut down by an adjudicator after complaining about a crying child in the stands.
In a shared clip through Espnat‘S. Tiktok Account on Tuesday, August 12, Raducanu, 22, asked the referee during his Cincinnati open round of 32 games against the world No. 1 Sabalenka to tackle the noise.
Raducanu, defeated by the Belarus sentiment in three sets, was first tried to serve before the video ran a text that read “Child Cries,” causing her to stop her game. (The cry is not detectable through the sound of the video.)
Then he was seen saying to the referee, “It has been, like, ten minutes,” which the officer responded to, “He is a child. Do you want me to send the child out of the stadium?”
The referee’s sarcastic suggestion removed several “yes” responses from the crowd, leading Raducanu, who is currently in the world No. 39, to shake her shoulders and laugh while distorting fans, allowing her words to speak for it.
“I can call in, but we need to continue for the moment,” the referee ended before the video broke short.
The Tiktok Post attracted more than 800 comments that agreed and disagreed with Raducanu’s complaint. “The baby won’t even remember this game as why bring them,” one initiator wrote, while another argued, “I thought the difference between professionals and amateurs was that they could block things like that.”
