The days between Christmas and New Year are a quiet and liminal time. You can hang out with the family, make your mind a sunless space with video games and TV, and eat all the rest of the holiday food. Elon Musk, the richest man who ever lived and the father of at least 12 children, spends this time raging online for visas and publishing a brochure in a German newspaper.
Where to even begin.
In the days before Christmas, a little the war broke out between the MAGA faithful and the tech billionaires who helped Trump win the election. The issue was H1-B Visa. You see, immigrant Elon Musk thinks Americans are lazy and entitled. To help them thrive, they want to bring in more highly skilled tech workers on H1-B Visas.
“A culture that worships Cory from ‘Boy Meets World,’ or Zach & Slater over Screech in ‘Saved by the Bell,’ or ‘Stefan’ over Steve Urkel in ‘Family Matters,’ will not produce the best engineers,” DOGE co . – Ramaswamy chair he wrote in a Tweet on December 26One day most of us are so full of holiday meat that we can’t move.
The reason leading tech companies often employ foreign and first-generation engineers over “native” Americans is not because of an innate American IQ deficit (a lazy and misguided explanation). A key part of this comes down to the c-word: culture. Tough questions demand tough answers and if…

Ramaswamy and Musk spent several days fighting their followers on X, the Everything App. Musk crashed prohibitions and recriminations with pleasure in the days after Christmas, which I assumed cut in his time with Path of Exile 2. Sad. A post the day after Christmas summary what had happened. The post said Americans were stupid. Musk agreed with him, then withdrew his agreement. He said that the “hateful, unrepentant racists” he should be kicked out of the Republic Party.
Good luck with that.
As Musk defended himself from the trolls he had encouraged on the website he bought for $44 billion, the whole world. also learned about Adrian Dittmanna man who many think can to be Moss.
Dittmann is a bluecheck X account that loves to defend Musk. Dittmann’s account has exists since 2021and spent much of that time going to bat for the embattled billionaire. The couple first appeared together in a Twitter space back in 2023. They repeated the performance during the H1-B visa dustup.
The thing is, Dittmann sounds and acts exactly like Elon Musk. The account apparently exists only to inflate Musk’s ego and defend his various positions. When the two are in the same virtual space, it is impossible to tell them apart. This has led to allegations that Dittmann is an alternative account of Musk, something that even daughter of a foreign billionaire I believe
The truth about Dittmann is impossible to know. This is either Musk running an alt account and promoting himself or he’s a weirdo who loves Musk so much that he’s doing an impression of him, modeling his behavior on Musk, and spending the holidays defending him online. Either possibility is too terrifying to contemplate in these strange and wandering days between Christmas and New Years.
Did you know that Germany has a parliamentary election coming up? Musk knows. Germany’s government is in crisis and the coalition that ruled it has collapsed. At the end of February, the Germans will decide the future of the country. Musk wanted that future to be a hard-right turn.
The billionaire ran into a final controversy before the New Year when he published an op-ed in the Welt am Sonntag newspaper endorsing the far-right Alternative for Germany (AfD) party. Musk said Germany was on the brink of “economic and cultural collapse” and that AfD was the country’s “last glimmer of hope.”
The AfD is a party that peel his way in a Controversy related to the Nazis every few weeks. It would also, presumably, be good for Musk’s business interests abroad. That’s why he wrote the op-ed. Musk’s approval in the newspaper was so scandalous that the editor of Welt am Sonntag resigned in protest.
It’s impossible to know if any of this will matter come February when Germany votes, but it does indicate that Musk is trying to flex his political muscle outside of the United States. He first endorsed AfD on the day before Christmas. I wonder what he will do when he learns about the hateful and unrepentant racists in the ranks of the AfD.
The richest man in the world went into 2025 with the same energy that he had cultivated in 2024. While the rest of us enjoyed time with our families, he finished a final project before see a Nosferatu matinée, or catching up with old friends, Musk was fighting people on the Internet. The holidays are hard for some of us. Musk’s solution seems to be to post through it.
