Elisabeth Hasselbeck mourns the death of father-in-law Don Hasselbeck

Hasselbeck Elisbaeth She shared memories of her father-in-law, former NFL player Don Hasselbeck, after he died suddenly on Monday, April 14.

Don died, who played nine seasons as a tight end in the NFL between 1977 and 1985, after suffering a cardiac incident at his home. His son, before the NFL quarterback Matt Hasselbeckfirst revealed the news by Instagram.

Elizabeth, 47, shared a recent photo of Don Painting Through her Instagram story and a verse of the Bible to commemorate his death. “But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is,” he read the verse.

The first View Cohost also shared messages from the Ensworth School -footed community, where Don trained alongside his sons, Matt, 49, Team47, husband of Elizabeth.

Matt, who played 17 seasons in the NFL as a quarter of four different teams, announced his father with “Sorrow Deep.”

“We want to thank the neighbors of our parents and all the medical professionals who came to his help,” wrote Matt. “He was a great husband, father, grandfather, coach, player, coworker, artist, mentor, and storyteller. Despite being an American in Colorado and a Super Bowl champion with the Raiders, we are most proud of the leader of our family.”
