Edwin de los Santos says Keyshawn Davis had already decided that he wanted to leave his fight for the final press conference last Thursday when he pushed him. He says he believes that Keyshawn (13-0, 9 kos) hoped that he was retaliated with a slap, which would have given rise to the fight to be canceled.
De los Santos believes that Davis lost his courage at the last moment and was looking for ways to go out. The first method was to start an altercation of the weight. When this failed, Keyshawn had overweight.
The struggle was finally called after Davis, 27, lost weight, with 4.3 pounds over the light limit at 139.3 pounds at heavy. I did not want to try to lose weight in the time it was given, saying that it would “exceed” the light division.
“I think Keyshawn did not want the struggle. If you go back and look at the press conference, I think the reason he pushed me was to provoke -to give him a hand in order to get out of the fight with a cancellation,” said Edwin de los Santos Millcity Boxing On his belief that Keyshawn Davis hoped to get out of the fight even before the weight.
It is unlikely that the struggle would have been called if the saint had shaped Keyshawn’s hand. However, Davis may have been launched by Davis, who may have caused the cancellation if Los Santos was cut off by a punch.
De los Santos presented a great passage to class for Keyshawn of the fighters he had recently faced. From Davis’s struggle against Nahir Albright in 2023, which some fans feel he lost, he has fought a gentle opposition. In Keyshawn’s fights from the Albright Contest, he has broken these fighters:
-Denys Berinchyk: A 135 pound subdivisor
-Gustavo Lemos: Retired from the division of 140 LB
– Miguel Madueno: Fringe Contender
-Jose Pedraza: Passed its best champion of 130 lb 36
“He looked well and could have done it (heavy), but he did what he had to do to get the advantage. If you look at his physique, he seems to have trained, but he did not do the job to cut the eight,” he said of Los Santos.
Keyshawn did not seem to have gone through the drainage process to remove the extra weight. It seemed cool, well rested and did not look at the fighters when they got to torture for weight.
“I think I did not want to agree with the rehydration clause and the dollar by pound (penalty) that he (Keyshawn) did not want to agree so that the struggle still happened,” he said of Los Santos.
