Edwin Arroyave spoke life with Teddi Mellencamp after split

Edwin Arroyave and Teddy mellencamp still on good terms as they continue to live together after their division.

Gusged Arroyave, 48, for his friendship with Mellencamp, 44, following their Separation October 2024 during the episode on Tuesday, August 5, of HIS and Judge eddie‘s “The edsPodcast.

“We’re righteous, you know, we’re great friends, and you know, I want to make sure she cared for her, but we’ve maintained that great relationship,” explains Arroyave. “So even though we’re separated and we’re disengaged, and we’re still planning on divorce, like, we’re still friends. I still see her as a friend.”

Arroyave added that this is the “best” he and Mellencamp have “come on in a while.”

“We were always coming on, but we, like, are getting on very well,” he said, later noting that he and Mellencamp are not “fighting.”

“It’s a great energy in the house,” he continued.

Mellencamp filed for divorce of Arroyave on November 1, 2024, according to court documents obtained by Weekly US. He listed their separation date as October 20, 2024, and noted “incompatible differences” as the reason for the split.

The Water aum announced her decision to divorce her husband via Instagram the day after filing.

“After a great deal of care and consideration, I have made the difficult decision to file for divorce,” he wrote. “My priority is my children and ensuring that all care is taken with their privacy and wellbeing throughout this new chapter.”

Mellencamp and Arroyave share three children: Slate’s daughter, 12, son of Cruz, 10, and Dove’s daughter, 5. Arroyave is also the father of Isabella’s daughter, 15, of a previous relationship.

Mellencamp continued, “Making a public statement is not something I wanted to do, but in an effort to protect my family from guessing and excessive rumors, I felt open, honest and vulnerable was the best route forward.”

Despite their division, Mellencamp and Arroyave have continued to live under one roof in the middle of its health struggle. Initially, she was diagnosed with Phase 2 melanoma in October 2022, but eventually developed into Stage 4 and metastasized to her lungs and brains.

Mellencamp opened for her disengaged husband’s support in Us Cover story in April.

“I’m very fortunate to be Edwin, I was in the midst of divorce, we postponed everything. (It wasn’t) really the time to fight for e -eyebrows,” he said. “He has been very kind and helps with the children. That has made things a lot easier.”

Describing their live situation, Mellencamp said, “I’m in the primary (bedroom), and it’s one of the guest rooms. It’s fun. It’s all the things I loved about our wedding but without all the problems.”

Mellencamp also said she was grateful that she and Arroyave were in a better place.

“I’m so glad because it’s so bad for a while. I was like, ‘How did this happen to me and my best friend of 16 years?’ We’ve always made each other laugh.

Mellencamp continued, “If there was any part of this, the second I got sick, it changed completely. It’s a silver lining. It’s been there for me a hundred percent, it’s been there for the kids, and we’re back to laugh. We call it ‘divorce chronicles.’ And I want to talk (to it) about the kind of girls (e) is going to marry … because if these people are going to look after my children, this is what I want, and this is the definition of what I don’t want. ”
