In a dramatic journey for the online games sector of India, the best fantasy sports and skills skills platforms, including Dream11, Zupee, Mobile Premier League (MPL), My11Circle and Probo, have announced the suspension or complete completion of their real money game (RMG).
The movement occurs after Parliament approved the promotion and regulation of online games 2025, which prohibits all actual money -line games and introduces strict sanctions for rape.
Dream11, the largest fantasy sports platform in India and a key sponsor of the National Cricket team, has begun ending with RMG activities, with information, 90% of its revenue flow. At an internal city council on August 20, the CEO Harsh Jain confirmed that the contests paid for its Dream Picks and Dream Play applications have already been stopped, with the Dream11 flagship application, which must be followed once the bill receives the presidential consent.
Users have been sure that existing portfolios balances remain safe and can be removed.
Other platforms, including MPL, ZUPEE, GAMES24X7, Gamekraft applications and opinion trade application, have also won the money -based game connector, leaving only free titles available.
Legislation prohibits any online games where players deposit money with cash proficiency expectations. Infractors have up to three years in prison or fines of up to $ 1 crore. The bill also prohibits ads, processing of payments and guarantees for these platforms.
Explaining the reason, the minister of Ti Ashwini Vaishnaw, in his official statement, said:
“Online money games are a public health risk. When it comes to saving young people, the priority will always be that.”
Government officials also cited financial risks, money laundering and possible national security threats as a reasons for the ban.

The ban is expected to be a success of € 4,500 for the games and advertising ecosystem. The RMG platforms have been among the elders of Cricket leagues, regional sports and first -time television, which means that sports and sports franchises could deal with the main shortcomings of revenue.
The industry’s bodies such as the Andia Games Federation (AIGF), the E-Gaming Federation (EGF) and the Indian Fantasy Sports Federation (FIF) have appealed to more nuanced regulation instead of a blanket ban. There are now several legal challenges.
Dream Sports, Dream11’s parent, is already changing to non -RMG companies such as Fancode (Sports Media), Dreamsetgo (Experial Sports Travel) and Dream Game Studios, while seeking international opportunities.
For now, the real -time real money fantasy game of India is looking at an uncertain future: with millions of players and thousands of employees trapped in the regulatory fire.
