Phil McGraw spoke out to support the controversial American Eagle campaign including Sydney Sweeney.
During appearance on Friday’s episode, August 8, of Real -time with Bill MaherThe therapist, 74, offered his snap Recent criticism Referred to the brand for allegedly nodding to eugenics through ads containing Sweeney, 27.

The campaign was ruffled widely, with some users on -lein receiving the messages as a reference to eugenics – a dismantled theory suggesting that humans are improved by selecting selective breeding.
While Sweeney is not yet to publicly address the backlash, American Eagle went to his social media on August 1 to share a statement that addressed the debate. “Sydney Sweeney has great jeans’ and was always about the jeans. His jeans. His story,” read Instagram’s response at the time. “We will continue to celebrate how everyone wears their jeans and is confident, their way. Great jeans look good on everyone.”
