The Democratic Republic of the Congo banned the party of former President Joseph Koni, accusing him of linking the M23 rebel group, which this year confiscated most of the country.
The ban comes against the backdrop that Kabila had returned to the country, having spent two years in South Africa.
He is said to have returned to the city of Homo, which was confiscated in January, which supported Rwanda in January.
Kabila headed Dr. Congo for 18 years after his father Laurent, who was shot dead in 2001. Joseph Kahli was only 29 years old at the time.
A statement by the Ministry of Internal Affairs said that all PPRD Kabila’s events were banned from his “ambiguous attitude” to the Congolese M23 classes.
He also noted that Kabila decided to return to a guo, where he was defended by the “enemy”.
PPRD did not commented.
On Friday, the government accused the 53rd Cabilo of treason and ordered all his property.
Previously, Kabila denied the availability of links to M23. He did not commented on the last steps of the Congolese government and confirmed that he returned to Dr. Congo.
However, this month he said he would return to the country. Senior PPRD officials denied that Kabila is currently in Homo.
Saturday his press -secretary Barbara Nzimba Posted on x that Kabila will turn to the nation in the coming hours or days.
Asked by the BBC Great Lakes, the M23 press did not confirm or deny the presence of the cabin in a hama, saying: “I do not see the problems he is here.”
After the president’s office after his father’s death he twice won the election. His second and latest term was officially expired in December 2016, but he refused to leave his post, saying that it was impossible to organize the election, which led to deadly protests.
He spent two more years in power until the elections were held in 2018.
In January 2019, he handed over the Félix Tshisekedi power, the official winner of the controversial election, which Martin Faul received many election observers.
He accused Kabyla and Tshasecki of the Agreement on Excluding him from the authorities – that both men refused.
But the relationship between the couple also deteriorated their party coalition, officially ended in December 2020.
Kabila left Dr. Congo in 2023, officially studying in South Africa.
In January 2024, his doctoral dissertation on the geopolitics of African relations with the US, China and Russia were confirmed at the University of Johannesburg.
In a written statement about the announcement of his future return, Kabila stated that he was motivated by the desire to solve the aggravating institutional and security crisis in Dr. Congo.
He also told the French language magazine Jeune afrique that he wants to “play a role in finding a decision after six years of retreat and one year in exile.”
But Ben Radley, a political economist and a teacher of international development at the University of Bat, noted that the leader of the political group, which includes M23, Corneille Nangaa, was the head of the election commission under Kabil and was a “close ally”.
“In addition, the historical continuity with his father Laurent Kabila, who also entered the Congo from the east in the late 1990s in his possible march before the presidency, is also on the minds of many of the Congolese,” he said the BBC.
