The devastating attacks on the camp run by hundreds of thousands of people who fled the Civil War in Sudan continued on the third day, BBC residents said.
One person in Zamzam’s camp called the situation as “extremely catastrophic” and the other said that everything was “terrible”.
More than 100 civilians, including at least 20 children and a medical team, were killed in a number of attacks that began late last week in the Western Darfur region in Sudan, the UN reported.
The attacks – in the city of El -Fosher and the two nearby camps – were accused of rapid support forces (RSF). It states that reports were fabricated.
Camps, Zamz and Abu Shuk, provide temporary houses of more than 700,000 people, many of whom are hungry.
The news of the attacks is on the eve of the second anniversary of the Civil War between the RSF and the army.
The UN Humanitarian Coordinator in Sudan Clementin Nkwiete-Sala said that “horrific and strongly” reports what happened.
“This is another deadly and unacceptable escalation in a series of harsh attacks on displaced people and assistance workers,” she added.
Organization of the Instruction Organization Information further for the work “were mercilessly killed, including doctors, guide drivers and team leader” as a result of the attack on Zamzam.

“We understand that it was a focused attack on all health care infrastructure in the region to prevent access to healthcare for internally displaced people.
“We are horrified that one of our clinics was also included in this attack – together with other medical institutions in El Fosher.”
In a statement issued on Saturday, RSF said he was not responsible for attacks on civilians and that the murder scenes in the Zamzam had been put for discrediting their forces.
Speaking to the BBC on Sunday morning, one Zamzam resident working in the kitchen, providing food for those in the camp said that “a large number of young people were killed.”
“Those who worked in the kitchen of the community were killed, and doctors who were involved in the hospital opened,” 34 -year -old Mustafa said in WhatsApp audio.
“My uncle and my cousin were killed.
“The shelling continues and we expect more attacks in the morning.”
He added that all the routes from the camp were closed and it was “surrounded by all four directions”.
Another resident, Vasir, said that “nothing (there was nothing) was left in the zip.”
“A large number of civilians have fled, and we are still trying to leave, but we failed, all roads are blocked, and we have children.
“Death everywhere. When I talk to you from the inside of the trench, a shelling takes place.”
Evaluating satellite images, a team of specialists of Yale University in the United States stated that “this attack is conservatively represented by the most significant ground attack on the zamzam … since the struggle in the area of El Fasher in the spring of 2024.”
The Humanitarian Scientific and Research Laboratory of the Yale School of Public Health stated that “arson burned several structures and significant areas of the camp, south and south -east of the camp.”
War – the struggle for power between the army and the RSF – created the world’s largest humanitarian crisis, forcing more than 12 million people from their homes and pushing communities for hunger.
It began on April 15, 2023, after the leaders of the army and the RSF fell in the political future of the country.
