Dozens died in gas when Israel is enhanced by strikes, rescuers say

At least 69 people were killed by Israeli gas fire on Thursday, rescuers say when Israel strengthened the bombing of the Palestinian territory.

One air strike killed 15 people at a school that rolled over for the displaced families in Gaza, Civil Defense Agency Hamas reports. The Israeli military said there was a “key” operative.

Civil defense also said that 38 people were killed during a queue for help or to take it away. The military said such reports of wide victims were “lies”.

At least five other displaced people were reportedly killed when a tent was inflicted in the Southern district of Al-Mavas, where IDF told residents affected by evacuation orders to head for their own security.

Ashraf Abu Shaba, who lived in a nearby tent, said he saw the bodies of children and women wrapped in a blanket.

“The profession (Israel) claims that there are safe zones, but there are no safe zones. Every place is the goal … The situation is unbearable,” he added.

Later, a civil defense press secretary Mahmoud Basal told AFP that another 38 people were killed by Israeli troops looking for help.

He said 25 killed near an Israeli military corridor in Central Gaza. Six were killed elsewhere nearby, and seven were killed in the southern district of Rafa, he added.

Doctors at the Nasser Hospital in the southern city of Khan Yunis told Reuters separately that at least 20 people were killed while making their way to the help center.

There was no direct response to the IDF report.

Last week, IDF said it studied reports of civilian damage during the approaching sites in South and Central Gaza, run by the Gaza and Israel (GHF) Himonitar Fund.

On Thursday, the IDF spokesman Brig-General Etheu Defrin admitted at a briefing that Israeli troops faced a “difficult task” and conducted “lessons from each incident to prevent similar cases in the future.”

But he stated: “Messages of the general victims in the distribution centers are a lie.”

Furious reports of deadly incidents almost every day when GHF started working on May 26, started working on May 26.
