Abdoulaye Doucoure says “it will forever be a blue” after confirming that he will go out to Everton at the end of the season.
The Toffees have refused to take on a 12 -month option in the current 32 -year -old contract and leave the club after making 165 appearances after a transfer of £ 20 million from Watford in 2020.
Doucoure played a key role in the survival of Everton’s Prerton Prerton’s League with the only goal of the last day’s victory over Bournemouth.

He posted to X Today: “Hi Evertonians, I just wanted to share this message with you that I will leave the football club at the end of the season. After five wonderful years my time in Everton is over.
“Everton means a lot to me. Obviously, the last five years have been hard. I will always remember my time as a dream for me to play Everton Football Club. Obviously, I am sad to leave the club after five wonderful years, but I think the time has come for a new chapter for me and the club and I will always be grateful for what the club did for me.
“When the opportunity came, I was very happy to sign the club. My best memory will obviously be the goal I scored against Bournemouth to keep the club in the Premier League.
“I think this will always be proud. It was a wonderful time for me and my family and also for the club.
“I will miss the fans, I will miss the football club. I just wanted them to know that I was giving everything, every time in training and games.”
Doucoure was visibly excited after being replaced by Sunday’s victory 2-0 in Southampton in the final match of men to play Goodison Park.
He added, “She was always proud to wear the shirt. She was always proud to play Goodison Park.
“I gave everything to win as many games as I could. I will only miss the place and wish them the best of the New Stadium.
“Everton will always be part of my life now. I will be forever a blue, I will always support Everton and I hope they have a bright future.”
It is rumored that Mali International Doucoure is a target for newly promoted Leeds.
Leave Everton next to Ashley Young, Asmir Begovic and Joao Virginia. No decision has yet been announced about Idrissa Gude, Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Michael Keaane, who are also out of summer contract.
