Dominant hosts complete the comeback to claim first -leg advantage

A dominant PSG returned from a goal to claim a two -goal lead about Aston Villa in the first part of the quarter of the Champions League.

Morgan Rogers had given Unai Emery a surprise advantage in a raucous park from Princes, but the sublime goals of Desire Doue, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Nuno Mendes completed the team of League 1 champions.

Villa, the career of seven successive victories in all competitions, ended, could have little complaints about the score, as Luis Enrique’s team, sometimes impressive, was impressive everywhere.

Emery’s men still have a shot in progression until the last four of the Europe’s elite competition, but a monumental effort will be needed in Villa Park next week.

Loud Boos sounded around the stadium for the goalkeeper of Vila Emi Martinez, who yesterday saw a cap showing the triumph of the Argentina World Cup on France.

And the shooting stroke had to be in hand to stop Vitinha’s domestic effort before being called to moments later, when he pulled out an impressive salvation to divert the left strike from Ousmane Dembele.

PSG showed his intention immediately, affirming his dominion from the outside.

In the meantime, Villa struggled to get out of his half and it seemed that Emery’s players could be for a long night. But for 34 minutes, visitors won an unlikely advantage.

John McGinn returned to possession in the middle of the pitch before eating Marcus Rashford. Manchester United Predandee played to Youruri Tielemans, the crossing across the box found that Rogers and the England midfielder stressed the ball at home.

Leadership lasted less than five minutes, though. Martinez nailed the ball to the line and from the resulting short corner, Doue cut off the left before triggered a wonderful curling strike on the net through the bottom of the crossbar.

It was a time of magic of the teenager, whose surname means “endowed” in French, causing wild scenes among home fans.

Villa may be lucky enough to be at the level of level, but only four minutes after the pause, the PSG comeback was completed when Kvaratskhelia turned half of the substitute Axel Disasi inside before an effort on the goal flows.

Set the tone for the rest of the second half. The hosts in total control and constantly threatening the goal of the town.

At 70 minutes, Achraf Hakimi had the ball on the net after a net exchange with Kvaratskhelia. But he was awarded that the full Moroccan had been offside and Villa saved himself further.

Emery presented to Ollie Watkins and PSG Presange Marco Asensio to try to strengthen the visitors’ attack options, but PSG remained in the driving seat.

Then came the murderer in the time of the second half. Mendes, from the left, was found by Dembele before returning to the interior, in Ezri Konsa and Martínez, before putting the ball to make three.
