“Ryan is extremely busy,” added ABC Executive. “With 9-1-1, (the upcoming spinoff) 9-1-1: Nashville and he makes everything a fair (for Hulu). I know he is working on a bunch of shows for FX that they are very excited about them too.”

According to Erwich, It’s all up to Murphy. “I really love Doctor Odyssey, I think it’s an inventive wild show, and we’re doing everything we can to support them,” he continued in a separate interview with a deadline. “Ryan Murphy ultimately lies, whether Ryan wants to continue to do it, and it feels like there are stories to say that he feels confident.”

The outlet confirmed that a decision would have to be made by June when the cast options are about to end.
