The US Government Agency, which regulates television, states that it opens the investigation into diversity and Disney’s inclusion, in the last sign of the pressure applied to the media.
Chairman of the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) Brandan Car sent leaf Disney on Friday reported about the company and its unit ABC News about the plan.
He said the move was caused by concern that the company was promoting a variety “in this way” with state regulation.
The Disney press secretary said the company was considering the letter.
“We look forward to communicating with the commission to answer his questions,” Disney’s press secretary said.
The FCC Investigation on Disney also occurs against the background of more repressions in Trump’s DEI practice, and the consequences are felt outside the United States.
This week, French companies with government contracts received a letter from the US Embassy in France asking to subscribe and execute Trump’s executive order, which prohibits Dei programs.
The letter states that “extending to all providers and service providers of the US government, regardless of their nationality and the country in which they work.”
In a letter addressed to Robert Iger, the chief executive director of Disney, Car Car, said that he wanted to make sure that the media campaign “completes any discriminatory initiatives in essence, not just the name.”
He added: “I want to determine whether the Disney’s actions will be – whether or recently over – followed all the time with the current FCC rules.”
Carr has been a FCC member since 2017 and was appointed renewal of Trump’s agency in November.
Since his appointment, he has gained control of the media firms, launching NPR and PBS probe and demanding information from large technology companies, including Apple and Google, about the use of services that affect how news rating.
The FCC has also announced the investigation of Verizon and Comcast and its Media Paddrace, NBCUniversal over its diversity initiatives, justice and inclusion (Dei).
Disney, most famous for his classics of cartoons and thematic parks, has amended Dei policy earlier this year.
“As long as I have seen reports that Disney recently went back some of their Dei programs, there are significant problems,” Karr wrote.
“I want to make sure that Disney and ABC did not violate the rules in the FCC work, promoting welcome forms of Dei discrimination,” he said.
Car said he wanted information about the rules that regulate the diversity representation in their characters, among other initiatives.
The study is not the first time Disney was a political goal.
Last year, he agreed to pay $ 15 million for a defamation lawsuit brought by Donald Trump after the Star ABC anchor falsely stated that the president was recognized as “responsibility for rape.”
Earlier, the jury has determined that Trump is responsible for the “sexual cruel treatment”, which has a specific definition in accordance with the New York law.
Republican Governor Florida Ron Desantis also has been hostile to Disnec for many years after the campaign criticized the state law known as “do not say gay”, which restricted the teaching of sexuality in schools.
Previously, Disney was the purpose of the conservatives allegedly in his films “Woke up” messages.
