Brittany, 29, was in attendance for the Kansas City Chiefs’ divisional playoff game against the Houston Texans on Saturday, January 18, less than a week after giving birth to the couple’s third baby. She was seen giving her husband Patrick, who was also 29, a kiss before the game, wearing a camel colored puffer coat with No.15 emblazoned on the pockets.
Meanwhile, Patrick took the field alongside his teammates at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri, in the Chiefs’ first playoff game after the 2024-2025 NFL season. The team clinched the No. 1 seed in the AFC, earning a bye week during the wild card round the previous weekend.
Patrick’s gap coincided with the the birth of her and Brittany’s third baby. The pair, who are also parents to daughter Sterling, 3, and son Bronze, 2, announced via Instagram on Monday, January 13, that their daughter Golden was born the day before.
“•Golden Raye Mahomes• 1/12/25🎀✨,” they captioned a joint post of their newborn’s feet.
After the Chiefs won their bye week, Patrick told reporters that he was he promised to secure the advantage so the couple could focus on welcoming their newest addition.
“I told my pregnant wife I was going to get the No. 1 seed so I could go have that baby,” he said in December 2024.
At the time, Patrick revealed that Brittany was due to give birth “any day now.”
“Brittany says I’ve been stressing her too much this season,” he shared. “So, I have to try not to stress her so much through these football games – and have fun.”
Patrick added, “Hopefully, God is working the right way, and we can have that baby on bye week somewhere. Then everything will work out perfectly. “
Patrick also suggested that Brittany would support him in the post season despite her full plate of responsibilities.
“MVP ’cause she’ll go in (to the playoffs) and she’ll crush it,” he said. “We’ll have three babies, and I can take a long break and focus on playing ball- foot and raise those babies.”
Earlier this month, Patrick revealed that he had managed to do just that prepare for the playoffs while he and Brittany were waiting for the birth of their little child.
“It was cool that football was on TV when I was in hospital, so I got to watch a little bit,” he said at a press conference. “Brydaw was kind enough to let us watch football as she was preparing to give birth to our second daughter.”
