Denmark’s Foreign Minister Lars Lokke Rasmussen has summoned the chief American diplomat in Copenhagen after the report that US citizens carry out “hidden influences” in Greenland.
The public television company Denmark D -R quotes sources, as it is noted that the purpose was to penetrate the Greenland society and to promote its branch from Denmark in the US, although the men could not explain whether the men work on their own.
In a statement, Rasmussen stated that “any attempt to interfere with the internal affairs of the kingdom (Denmark) will certainly be unacceptable,” the US accusation was caused in this light.
The BBC appealed to the US Embassy for comments.
However, US President Trump has repeatedly stated that he wants to join Greenland, the autonomous part of the Kingdom of Denmark, and Vice President J. D. Vnes accused Copenhagen of insufficient transformation on the territory.
A few months ago, Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederxen warned the United States to visit Greenland that “you cannot attach another country.”
Currently, there is no ambassador to Copenhagen in the US, so Rasmussen has summoned Mark Stro, who is the most senior diplomat in the Danish capital as an accusation.
The Danish Foreign Minister said in a BBC statement that the government “realized that foreign subjects were still interested in Greenland and its position in the Kingdom of Denmark.”
“So it is not surprising when we feel at the street attempts to influence the future of the kingdom soon,” he added.
Denmark is a member of NATO and the European Union and has long viewed the United States as one of the closest allies, and the Danes were shocked by Trump’s determination to control his semi -automatic territory. The US president said he did not exclude his seizure this year.
This year, Lars Lokke Rasmussen has already summoned the US ambassador to Denmark in response to a separate report in May, believing that the US spy agency was told to focus its efforts on Greenland.
The doctor’s report on Wednesday gave details of the visit of one American in the Greenland capital NUK, saying that he was seeking to make a list of English, who supported us attempts to take on the island. The purpose would be to try to recruit them for the division, said D -r.
The previous report in the Wall Street Journal also referred to find out more about Greenland’s independence, as well as about the US mining.
At that time, the director of the United States on National Intelligence Tulsi Gabard did not refuse the report, but accused the magazine of “violation of the law and undermining the security and democracy of our country”.
